Implosion

I’m sorting through a pretty dreadful personal crisis right now. But rest assured denizens, posting will resume shortly. Until then, I leave you with this video (thanks Aishwarya), which happens to be all sorts of awesome.

Have a great Diwali, peoples.

cool...this shud've been a pretty effective campaign...reminded me of a drive in Tamilnadu sometime back with the catch line "Pulli rajakku aids varumaa?" [that was in a totally different mode, but was reminded cos that was an effective campaign too]...

Happy Diwali.

That video has featured on BoingBoing as well. Sung in Telugu, it is a great watch.

Thank you SO much, all of you.

Hope everything is under control. And yes, this video is hilarious - it's been doing the rounds :)

If this aired on TV in India, I'm amazed - it has explicit sexual visuals (the visuals are primarily gay sex - maybe to explain it to people). But I was impressed that they address that as well. The times are a changing for sure!

Hope you end up celebrating rather than commiserating at the end of it all.

@ Shripriya: Thanks a ton. And that video actually cheered me up. As campy and cheesetastic as it was, it addressed the issues head on. I was particularly heartened to see how wonderfully and frankly it dealt with gay sex. Maybe I should ease up on my cynicism after all. :)

@ Drunken: Thanks, you. I hope so too.

Happy Deepavali, Megha..

typical india video.. the message is alright, but did you notice that none of the actors would be caught dead in the same scene as a condom? even the ones wearing the big condom suits had their faces painted for anonymity. i was surprised though, that gay sex was mentioned. baby steps towards decriminalizing it!

Happy Diwali Punkster.

Hope you had a good one.

Thank you all!

*wipes away happy tears*

This may sound redundant but your comments really cheer me up. Really!

@ Renovatio: *hug*. Thanks, yo. But its not my birthday!

@ A'mouse: Erm no. It's not my birthday. Haen? :)

I meant Diwali. I do that a lot.

Rather than those long windy SMSes on diwali most people send, I do a short and sweet, albeit full of affection; 'Happy Diwali Dude'. Same goes for other holidays and birthdays.

howz u feeling? Better I hope

Ah, I was merely following Renovatio's comment. Well, since I have been commenting here for quite some time, I think I must have missed at least one birthday anyway ;).
